This is a basic course designed to master the fundamentals of CI/CD, containers, and cloud technologies for DevOps and start a career in this field. To enroll, you need basic knowledge of Linux, networks, TCP/IP, and experience working with virtual environments
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO KNOW CLOUD SYSTEMS AND CI/CD FOR DEVOPS?
DevOps specialists use various tools and cloud services to automate processes and enhance work efficiency.
This course offers the opportunity to gain fundamental knowledge of key DevOps technologies and acquire
practical skills working with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS.
You will learn how these services are applied in DevOps practices, from environment configuration to
automating application deployment processes. The course will help you build foundational skills that
serve as a base for working with DevOps tools, enabling you to operate confidently in cloud
environments and adapt to any challenges.
AFTER THE COURSE, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO:
- deploy software and manage the application development cycle
- containerize software applications and manage complex application deployments using orchestration tools
- work with AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud environments and understand infrastructure as a service
- deploy websites using platforms as a service
- work with continuous integration and continuous delivery, use CI/CD tools on simple tasks
- test software and analyze code quality
- automate and configure the software deployment process at the basic level
- monitor and track the performance and behavior of deployed software
- deploy and manage infrastructure using IaC tools
- use artifacts and repositories as part of the software deployment process

SCHEDULE AND COURSE FORMAT
- Live online classes with mentor twice a week: Mon and Thu 19:00-21:00
- Access to class recordings and communication with mentors available in Discord chat,
- Additional materials on theory and practice, homework with feedback
- The instruction language is Ukrainian, with some materials in English at A2 level
- Duration is 2 months

- the importance of RestAPI for building scalable applications

- working with build tools (Gradle, Maven, Webpack)
CI/CD
- principles of continuous integration and delivery
- process automation with Jenkins and GitHub Actions
Code review
- code quality analysis using SonarQube
Automation
- configuration management and deployment processes
- overview of automation tools
Containers and orchestration
- working with Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes for managing containerized applications
IaC (Infrastructure as code)
- basics of working with Terraform
Monitoring
- system performance monitoring fundamentals using Zabbix
Cloud systems
- basics of working with IaaS cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Artifacts
- the role of artifacts in DevOps
- working with artifacts and repositories, using npm as an example
