ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role you will support and evolve Workday Financials, driving operations, enhancements, and strategic finance initiatives while partnering with Finance, Accounting, and Procurement teams across multiple functional areas. Our client is a global platform transforming the job search experience for millions of users, operating across major tech hubs including Seattle, Tokyo, Dublin, and Vancouver. Within a lean Finance Solution Delivery team, you will help maintain and enhance Workday Financials, ensuring reliable systems that power critical financial processes and business decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and configure solutions across multiple Workday Financials modules to support core financial operations and enable scalable platform capabilities
- Drive ownership of configuration quality and platform stability within Workday Financials, resolving issues quickly to improve system reliability and reduce operational risk
- Collaborate closely with finance stakeholders, business analysts, and technical teams to translate business requirements into effective Workday Financials configurations and solutions
- Provide hands-on configuration and operational support across Workday Financials domains using native Workday tools, business process frameworks, and security configurations
- Troubleshoot production issues and system defects within Workday Financials, performing root-cause analysis and implementing timely fixes to maintain uninterrupted financial operations
- Act as a flexible cross-module resource within Workday Financials, stepping into priority areas such as General Ledger, Procure-to-Pay, or Expenses based on evolving business demand
- Design and implement scalable configuration solutions in Workday Financials that support long-term platform health, maintainability, and performance
- Enhance existing Workday Financials functionality by delivering system optimizations, configuration updates, and process improvements aligned with finance operations
- Integrate quickly into an experienced delivery team, contributing expertise in Workday Financials configuration, issue resolution, and ongoing platform enhancements
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive hands-on experience with Workday Financials, including 5+ years configuring, supporting, and optimizing Workday Financials modules
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end financial processes within Workday Financials, including Financial Accounting, Expenses, Business Assets, and Banking & Settlement
- Advanced experience with Financial Accounting within Workday, supporting core accounting operations and financial data integrity
- Practical experience with Workday Expenses and Business Assets modules, including configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing operational support
- Hands-on experience providing both production support and project-based delivery within Workday Financials environments
- Solid understanding of Workday Banking and Settlement processes and their role within enterprise financial operations
- Working knowledge of Workday procurement-related capabilities with the ability to support legacy or transitioning processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and systems-thinking capabilities applied to diagnosing issues and delivering scalable Workday Financials solutions
- Proven ability to work independently in fast-paced and evolving environments while managing multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills with experience collaborating directly with finance stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Collaborative mindset and adaptability when working within lean teams with broad domain ownership and shared responsibilities
- Fluent in English at upper-intermediate level for daily communication
