ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will contribute to building and evolving test automation capabilities for product teams, focusing on creating reliable and scalable quality engineering solutions. You'll work closely with engineers and quality specialists to ensure automation frameworks remain maintainable, risk-focused, and aligned with modern engineering practices, while actively leveraging Gen AI tools to accelerate delivery and improve efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and build test automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright and TypeScript, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and long-term reliability
- Develop and maintain automated UI and API test suites that provide meaningful feedback on product quality and support confident release decisions
- Collaborate with developers, quality engineers, and other stakeholders to embed automation practices into the delivery lifecycle and improve overall test effectiveness
- Apply Gen AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools to accelerate framework development, test creation, and troubleshooting activities
- Investigate and resolve flaky tests, unstable execution patterns, and automation bottlenecks to improve regression suite performance and reliability
- Implement reusable automation patterns, standards, and accelerators aligned with broader Quality Engineering practices and engineering guidelines
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying coverage gaps, optimizing testing approaches, and enhancing framework capabilities
- Share technical expertise through code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and collaborative problem-solving activities across distributed teams
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience in test automation engineering with 5+ years of hands-on practice designing and implementing automated testing solutions
- Advanced expertise in Playwright and TypeScript, including development of automation frameworks, test architecture, and reusable testing components
- Solid experience designing and building automation frameworks from scratch rather than only maintaining existing solutions
- Strong knowledge of API testing methodologies and validation techniques across web-based and service-oriented applications
- Practical experience with Gen AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar tools for code generation, debugging, and development acceleration
- Additional experience with Java, C#, or Python for test automation and engineering-related tasks as a strong advantage
- Good understanding of test stability, framework maintainability, risk-based testing approaches, and regression optimization practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and automation-related challenges to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Upper-intermediate level of English or higher for collaboration with international teams
