ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will join a small engineering team working closely with our client, one of the leading global management consulting firms serving businesses, governments, non-governmental organizations, and not-for-profit organizations.
You will contribute to the ongoing development of an established product designed to build and manage data pipeline workflows. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will work across the solution, with a strong focus on Scala and JVM-based development, while leveraging your experience with agentic AI solutions to bring value from day one.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and enhance full-stack functionality for an established data engineering product
- Design and implement scalable solutions supporting data pipeline workflows
- Develop robust application components using Scala and JVM-based technologies
- Apply agentic AI approaches and tools to improve product capabilities and engineering workflows
- Collaborate closely with a small engineering team to deliver new functionality and continuously improve the existing solution
- Analyze the current implementation and propose pragmatic technical improvements
- Ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, reliability, and performance
- Participate in solution design, technical discussions, code reviews, testing, and delivery activities
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience with Scala, or solid expertise in other JVM-based technologies combined with the ability to quickly adopt Scala
- Proven full-stack development experience and ability to contribute across different layers of the application
- Hands-on experience with agentic AI solutions, AI agents, or agent-based development approaches
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles, application architecture, and development best practices
- Experience working with complex, production-grade applications and existing codebases
- Ability to analyze technical challenges and independently propose practical solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a small, collaborative engineering team
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English
