About the role
Join a team building a next-generation data replication and storage platform designed to support large-scale, high-load data processing and storage requirements. You will contribute to the development of new services using Rust, the strategic technology for future platform evolution, while occasionally supporting parts of the existing C++ ecosystem. Working within a distributed team of six engineers, you will help shape architecture, performance, and scalability for a technically complex product.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new services for a data replication and storage platform
- Implement scalable, reliable, and high-performance solutions using Rust
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and technical decision-making
- Maintain and occasionally modify components of the existing C++ codebase.
- Build and optimize services capable of handling high-load workloads
- Apply software design patterns and engineering best practices to solve complex technical problems
- Analyze and optimize algorithms for performance and scalability
- Use AI-powered development tools as part of the engineering workflow
- Collaborate closely with distributed team members and stakeholders
Requirements
- Senior-level engineering experience
- Proven track record of building and maintaining high-load, scalable services
- Willingness to work with Rust as the primary development language
- Practical expertise in C++ or readiness to work with and maintain existing C++ components when required
- Openness to leveraging AI development tools in day-to-day work
- Ability to work across technologies and adapt to different programming languages when needed
- Strong analytical, pragmatic, and problem-solving mindset
- Solid understanding of software design patterns and their practical application
- Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and computational complexity
- Experience validating solutions at realistic production scale
