ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will design and develop advanced robotics solutions across multiple domains, including ground, aerial, and underwater systems. As part of the SoftServe Robotics Group, you will work on end-to-end robotics systems — from prototyping to production — combining perception, planning, control, and system integration in both simulated and real-world environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop solutions for various mobile robots, including ground, air, and underwater systems
- Build rapid prototypes and refine them into production-ready solutions
- Test robotics solutions in both simulated and real-world environments
- Integrate robots with cloud services for enhanced functionality
- Design automated robotic systems to improve production efficiency and precision in specific industries
- Contribute to system architecture design, including HW/SW integration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on robotics system development and deployment
REQUIREMENTS
- An expert in C/C++ and Python programming, with 5+ years of software development experience
- Holding an MSc degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field
- Knowledgeable and practiced in areas such as mobile robots, drones, AGVs, AVs, AMRs, automotive systems, ROS/ROS2 & RViz, simulation tools (Gazebo, Nvidia IsaacSim, Bullet, Carla), robotics perception, trajectory planning, kinematics, and obstacle avoidance
- Proficient in understanding, developing, and implementing complex systems
- Skilled in the principles and operations of robotics sensors, actuators, and control systems
- Experienced in Unix (Linux) systems
- Adept at HW/SW architecture design
- Highly skilled in testing, continuous integration, build, deployment, and monitoring for complex systems
- Well-versed in system design and performance evaluation
- Practiced in adhering to functional safety and safety of intended function standards
- Proficient in English for professional communication
