ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will design and develop robotic and mechatronic systems, contribute to production-ready innovations, and help shape the future of robotics through technical excellence, research, and customer-facing initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop solutions for different kinds of robots: mobile robots, robotic arms, etc.
- Build multiple rapid prototypes as well as production-ready solutions
- Test robotics solutions both in simulation and in the real world
- Design automated robotic systems used to increase production and precision levels within a specific industry
- Lead participation in marketing and product management activities of the mechatronics team
- Participate in technical pre-sales activities such as presentations, workshops, etc.
- Perform regular research of the latest trends and modern approaches in the robotics domain: navigation, sensing, decision making, performance of robotic mechanism components or systems, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of design and development of complex robotics/mechatronics systems
- BSc or MSc in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, GD&T, and FEA
- Familiarity with design concepts like DFM, DFA, DFT, DFS
- Confidence in fabrication methods including machining, sheet metal, rapid prototyping, and injection molding
- Acquaintance with machinery-related compliance requirements and safety standards like OSHA, CE, ANSI, ISO, IEC
- Fluency in English to cover presentations, verbal and written communication
- Experience in at least one complementary area such as industrial robot programming, embedded C++ or Python development, electrical and PCB design, or PLC and SCADA programming
