ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will contribute to the ongoing development of a complex product and solve challenging engineering problems within a distributed environment. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and technical leads, influence technical decisions, and strengthen your expertise in Go, microservices, event-driven systems, and modern software architecture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement reliable product features across backend components, services, and APIs using Java and modern distributed architectures
- Develop scalable event-driven systems, microservices, and multithreaded solutions that support evolving product and customer needs
- Apply effective upsert patterns and distributed data management practices, including maintaining consistency across multiple copies of data
- Produce disciplined, maintainable, and testable code through small meaningful commits, clear commit messages, and regular high-quality pull requests
- Assess the broader system impact of technical changes and balance immediate delivery needs with long-term architectural considerations
- Participate in code and design reviews, provide constructive technical feedback, and contribute guidance based on engineering best practices
- Investigate and resolve complex product and system issues, including debugging and troubleshooting in customer environments
- Estimate and scope backlog items, identify technical dependencies and risks, and collaborate with the team to define practical delivery approaches
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 6 years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in Java
- Experience with backend development and a willingness to build production solutions using Go
- Strong knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, distributed systems, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles
- Experience designing and implementing microservices, APIs, event-driven systems, and distributed data management solutions
- Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and testable code supported by effective testing practices
- Strong understanding of software architecture and the ability to balance long-term technical strategy with short-term product deliverables
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex issues across services and customer environments
- Ability and willingness to learn unfamiliar products, technologies, and programming languages
- Intermediate English communication skills for effective collaboration, technical discussions, and documentation
