ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will contribute to graph-centric healthcare and life sciences initiatives focused on advanced analytics, AI-driven discovery, and knowledge graph engineering. You will help design and evolve scalable graph platforms that integrate multi-modal healthcare data, enabling research teams to model complex relationships, uncover insights, and support scientific decision-making on modern cloud environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and build healthcare knowledge graph pipelines, including data modeling, ingestion, validation, and operational workflows
- Define and evolve graph schemas, ontologies, and canonical data models
- Integrate heterogeneous data sources (public + proprietary) into a unified, queryable source of truth
- Enable discovery via graph analytics, embeddings, and intuitive interfaces for downstream applications
- Build lightweight tools (dashboards, notebooks, exploratory UIs) to make insights accessible
- Translate research and product questions into scalable graph workflows and data models
- Own technical direction for graph architecture and guide best practices across the team
- Mentor engineers and contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and technical decision-making
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience designing and building production-grade knowledge graph systems
- Hands-on experience with graph databases such as Neo4j, TigerGraph
- Deep understanding of graph data modeling, schema design, and ontology development
- Experience with graph query languages (e.g., Cypher, Gremlin, SPARQL)
- Proven ability to optimize graph performance, traversal patterns, and query efficiency
- Experience building and operating enterprise-level data platforms in production
- Proficiency in Python for data pipelines and production-grade workflows
- Well-versed in modern cloud-based data platforms on GCP, including BigQuery or Spanner
- Experience implementing graph analytics, embeddings, or graph-based ML approaches
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and security best practices
- Clear communication skills for collaborating across engineering, data science, and product teams
- Working proficiency in English for daily communication
