ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will join a long-term programme focused on improving supply chain integration for one of the UK’s largest grocery retailers. You will take ownership of building scalable React-based solutions that support complex retail operations and deliver real business impact within a mature Agile team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop scalable front-end features using React, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability across enterprise-grade applications
- Take end-to-end ownership of UI components and front-end functionality, contributing directly to improved user experience and operational efficiency
- Collaborate closely with designers, backend engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive and effective solutions
- Integrate and consume RESTful APIs and GraphQL services to enable seamless data flow between front-end and backend systems
- Implement responsive and accessible UI components using HTML5 and CSS3 for consistent behavior across devices
- Work with Node.js services, AWS Lambdas, and serverless architectures to support cloud-native application delivery
- Manage source code using Git, actively participating in code reviews, branching strategies, and quality improvements
- Apply modern front-end best practices, CMS systems, and Content APIs to deliver dynamic, scalable functionality
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with TypeScript and Node.js for 5+ years
- Proficiency in JavaScript ES6+ and TypeScript for building clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with GraphQL
- Familiarity with AWS Lambdas, MongoDB, and serverless architectures
- Working knowledge of Git for version control in collaborative environments
- Understanding of Serverless Framework and Terraform in cloud-based projects
- Ability to work effectively in Agile teams with a collaborative and proactive mindset
- Upper-intermediate English or higher for daily communication with international teams
