ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will contribute to building a simulation and prediction platform for a global fashion retailer operating across 200+ online and 90+ offline markets. You will help design solutions that enable better decision‑making for distribution center capacity, reducing risks of overstock and inventory gaps through data‑driven insights.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop backend and frontend features for a complex platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliable real‑time predictions
- Take ownership of full‑stack delivery, improving system accuracy and usability while supporting critical business decisions across distribution centers
- Collaborate closely with engineers, QA specialists, and stakeholders to align on requirements, architecture, and delivery priorities
- Build and maintain microservices using Java and the Spring ecosystem, ensuring clean architecture and efficient data processing
- Develop modern SPA interfaces with React and TypeScript, focusing on usability, state management, and performance optimization
- Implement and maintain integrations with messaging systems, APIs, and data storage solutions
- Ensure code quality through unit, integration, and E2E testing, applying best practices and modern testing tools
- Contribute to technical decision‑making, documentation, and continuous improvement of system design and development processes
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong proficiency in Java 11+, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, and relational databases such as MariaDB
- Solid frontend experience with JavaScript (ES6+), React 18+, TypeScript, and modern state management libraries
- Hands‑on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems, REST APIs, and OpenAPI standards
- Good knowledge of testing tools and practices, including JUnit, Jest, React Testing Library, and E2E frameworks like Cypress or Playwright
- Familiarity with tools such as Maven, Webpack, Grafana, GrayLog, and SonarQube
- Understanding of design principles, including SOLID, GRASP, and domain‑driven design
- Experience with microservices, real‑time data processing, and scalable application design
- Strong communication skills, ability to estimate work, document decisions, and collaborate in Agile environments
- Upper‑intermediate or higher English level for effective communication with global teams
