ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will take ownership of a cloud-based Donor Management System built on AWS, ensuring its infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and fully reproducible. You will work on a modular platform running on ECS Fargate with Oracle RDS, leading a critical phase of architecture separation and delivery optimization alongside platform and data engineering teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Terragrunt, ensuring consistency, scalability, and reproducibility across environments
- Own infrastructure architecture and delivery backbone, improving deployment reliability, reducing risk, and supporting system evolution
- Collaborate with platform engineers, data teams, and stakeholders to align infrastructure with application and data requirements
- Architect and manage AWS services, including ECS Fargate, RDS (Oracle), ECR, VPC, and AppConfig
- Implement infrastructure separation for medical and non-medical components, including database schemas, network isolation, and access controls
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for containerized ECS deployments
- Configure container orchestration, task definitions, and service performance within ECS Fargate
- Establish monitoring, observability, and rollback strategies to ensure stable and safe deployments
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Terragrunt in production environments
- Solid expertise in AWS services, including ECS Fargate, RDS, VPC, AppConfig, and ECR
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for containerized applications
- Strong knowledge of Docker and container orchestration in ECS environments
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including VPCs, subnets, load balancers, and security groups
- Experience with Oracle RDS and multi-database or multi-tenant architectures
- Background in infrastructure separation, access controls, and data isolation approaches
- Team player with strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering teams
- Intermediate Strong or higher English level
