Responsibilities

  • Capture and articulate the vision of the client’s business area, ensuring alignment between business objectives and solution outcomes
  • Lead discovery and analysis activities, defining the as-is and to-be states to identify gaps and propose business improvements
  • Own the end-to-end requirements process, standardizing elicitation, documentation, validation, and lifecycle management
  • Document and visualize existing scientific and operational processes using BPMN, swimlane diagrams, and other process-modelling techniques
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for development teams, reducing delivery risks and rework
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, product managers, architects, and delivery teams to ensure shared understanding and priorities
  • Develop business cases to assess the feasibility, value, and impact of proposed solutions or investments
  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and establish effective communication and change management strategies
  • Manage solution scope and prioritization to support timely, high-quality delivery
  • Prepare and facilitate a formal solution handoff and contribute to defining the next-phase digital transformation roadmap
  • Travel to the UK, including an initial one-month onsite discovery phase and two additional shorter trips

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT environments, working with enterprise clients
  • Strong life-sciences R&D domain knowledge, gained through relevant professional experience and/or a university degree in life sciences, biotechnology, bioinformatics, chemistry, pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline
  • Understanding of scientific R&D environments and workflows; exposure to areas such as assays, screening, structural biology, laboratory processes, or computational pipelines is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of business analysis practices, techniques, and artifacts across the full solution lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with Agile and Kanban software development methodologies
  • Understanding of business architecture frameworks and enterprise operating models
  • Experience in business development, discovery phases, and pre-sales activities
  • Ability to apply prioritization techniques, scope management, and change management practices
  • Effective English communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional and international teams
  • Familiarity with data engineering or data science concepts is an advantage
  • Professional certifications such as IIBA CBAP, PMI PBA, OCUP 2 Intermediate, OCEB 2 Business Intermediate, or TOGAF 9.0 Foundation are a plus
