Senior Business Analyst

About the role

In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders within SoftServe's Product Management & Business Analysis Center of Excellence, defining solution scope for enterprise-level programs and projects. You'll facilitate stakeholder workshops, mentor junior Business Analysts, and apply AI-accelerated workflows across your analysis work.

Responsibilities

• Elicit and document business and solution requirements
• Outline and document the client's business strategy, needs, goals, and objectives
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define the desired future state of the solution
• Analyze the business context and current state of the client's business, including the business model, key drivers, core processes, risks, and constraints
• Plan and execute stakeholder engagement activities using techniques such as stakeholder mapping, persona development, and organizational modeling
• Develop and maintain the Business Analysis Communication Plan, securing stakeholder alignment and approval
• Prepare and maintain the Requirements Management Plan, securing stakeholder agreement and understanding
• Organize and facilitate workshops, hackathons, and focus groups for sponsors, domain experts, and end users
• Act as facilitator and moderator for diverse stakeholder groups, keeping workshops and focus groups productive
• Process, structure, and validate the results of workshops, hackathons, and focus groups
• Model and visualize business and solution requirements using business model canvases, value chains, use case diagrams, and data modeling
• Verify and validate business and solution requirements and models with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and accuracy
• Validate business and solution requirements against client input, subject matter expertise, and market data
• Establish and maintain scope boundaries for solutions, preventing scope creep through gap analysis and vision documents
• Allocate solution requirements to specific releases and milestones, contributing to long-term solution planning
• Apply secure and responsible AI usage policies across your analysis work
• Run AI-accelerated workflows during discovery activities
• Set up AI agents for specific types of business analysis work
• Consult stakeholders on where AI can meaningfully apply
• Mentor and supervise Business Analysts, providing technical guidance and conducting performance reviews
• Lead technical interviews, providing expert assessments for hiring and performance evaluation

Requirements

• 7+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in Business Analysis roles within complex technology environments
• Master's degree or higher, ideally in Computer Science or a related field; business education is advantageous
• Deep understanding of enterprise business operations and digital transformation concepts
• Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, including Waterfall and Agile
• Advanced knowledge of business process modeling and prototyping tools
• Proven leadership and mentoring experience, with a track record of guiding junior team members
• Strong analytical skills for critical evaluation of information and conflict resolution
• Proficient stakeholder management, negotiation, and consulting skills, with the flexibility to manage shifting priorities and adapt to change
• English: Upper-Intermediate-Strong
• Upper-Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency; certifications such as IIBA, IREB, PMI CPMAI, or AI-related credentials are considered an advantage
