ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will design, build, and operate scalable platform capabilities supporting data and machine learning workloads on Azure. You will be part of a SoftServe team delivering enterprise-grade platform services for one of our clients.
Your focus will be on Kubernetes-based platform engineering, enabling reliable, secure, and scalable environments for data and ML use cases across multiple clusters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and operate a multi-cluster AKS-based platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and stability
- Design and implement platform enhancements across monitoring, security, networking, and ML enablement (e.g., Kubeflow integrations)
- Manage GitOps-based deployment workflows using ArgoCD and GitHub Actions
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to provision and manage cloud and Kubernetes resources
- Collaborate closely with data engineers, ML engineers, and platform users to ensure smooth deployment and operation of workloads
- Support GPU-based and ML workloads running on Kubernetes, optimizing resource usage and performance
- Ensure strong observability practices by integrating monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Troubleshoot platform issues and drive continuous improvements in reliability and performance
- Onboard new platform users and teams, ensuring a smooth adoption experience
- Contribute to platform standards, reusable components, and best practices for cloud-native and Kubernetes-based solutions
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS) in production environments
- Proven experience with Azure cloud services and architecture
- Solid experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions
- Experience with GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD
- Understanding of cloud networking, security, and cluster architecture principles
- Experience supporting platform users and production workloads
- Ability to troubleshoot distributed systems and improve system reliability
