ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role as Robotics Architect, you will be focusing on space robotics and simulation. You will work closely with engineering teams and clients to shape technical direction, support delivery from concept to deployment, and ensure high engineering standards across robotics projects. The robotics group promotes a supportive team environment and offers opportunities for professional development in an evolving technological landscape.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop solutions for different kinds of space robots (mobile robots, robotic arms, drones)
- Build multiple rapid prototypes as well as production-ready solutions
- Test robotics solutions both in simulation and in the real world
- Design automated robotic systems used to increase the production and precision levels within a specific industry, but not be limited to the space domain only
- Perform regular research of the latest trends and modern approaches in robotics (navigation, sensing, decision making, performance of robotic mechanism components or systems, etc.)
- Take part in pre-sales activities
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the growth of technical excellence within the robotics team
- Research emerging robotics technologies and translate them into practical engineering solutions
- Drive technical direction and support engineering teams throughout the full development lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in architecture and development of application software for flight and ground systems
- Involvement in technical pre-sales activities (presentations, workshops, etc.), C-level presentation skills
- Direct experience writing satellite or spacecraft software
- Experience in simulation and automation of manufacturing processes such as the manufacturing of rockets and rocket components, such as engines, etc.
- Experience in verification, validation, and integration of flight software
- Feeling at home programming in C/C++ and Python for embedded Linux systems
- Experience working from requirements to space-qualified products being launched into space
- Hands-on, can-do attitude, team player experience
- Close attention to detail with strong analytical skills, mathematical foundation, and a problem-solving attitude
