Project Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Project Manager in Big Data & Analytics, you will lead complex, data-driven initiatives for global customers across multiple industries, including healthcare, finance, manufacturing, retail, and energy. You will work at the heart of SoftServe’s Data & Analytics Center of Excellence, collaborating with experienced data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions — from strategy and design through PoC, MVP, and full-scale implementation.

This role combines strong project leadership with exposure to modern data platforms, cloud ecosystems, and enterprise-scale transformations, offering both professional growth and global impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage data-centric projects such as Data Warehouse and Data Lake implementations, BI solutions, and data & analytics migrations
  • Own end-to-end project delivery, including scope, cost, schedule, quality, risk, and stakeholder management
  • Manage and motivate cross-functional project teams of 20+ engineers in distributed, multicultural environments
  • Apply Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban methodologies based on project and client needs
  • Drive effective communication with customers, internal teams, and senior stakeholders
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and resolve conflicts proactively
  • Manage fixed-price contracts and ensure financial performance and delivery commitments
  • Ensure consistent use of project management tools such as Jira and Trello
  • Support continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices within the Data & Analytics community
  • Participate in business trips and collaborate closely with global clients and partners

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in project management
  • Proven experience managing data-focused projects such as Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, BI solutions, or analytics platforms
  • High-level understanding of modern data, cloud, and AI-assisted engineering practices
  • Familiarity with AI-powered productivity and collaboration tools used across the software development lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban methodologies
  • Experience leading large project teams with 20+ engineers
  • Hands-on experience with cost, scope, schedule, risk, quality, and stakeholder management
  • Experience managing fixed-price contracts
  • Strong risk management and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency with project management and issue tracking tools such as Jira and Trello
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Willingness to continuously learn and grow in both project management and technology
