ABOUT THE ROLE
Our customer is a global financial services company operating within highly regulated enterprise environments. As the organization continues expanding its cloud operating model across Google Cloud Platform (GCP), they are looking for an on-site GCP cloud technical leader capable of driving cloud engineering initiatives, coordinating technical efforts, and establishing scalable and secure cloud practices across the enterprise.
This is a US-based role with an anticipated base salary range of $115,280–$172,920 annually.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead cloud engineering and platform initiatives across enterprise GCP environments
- Act as the primary technical authority for Google Cloud Platform initiatives
- Coordinate technical efforts across infrastructure, cloud engineering, automation, and operations teams
- Drive scalable cloud platform improvements and operational excellence initiatives
- Design and implement secure, resilient, and enterprise-grade cloud solutions
- Lead remediation efforts for cloud vulnerabilities, exposure risks, and infrastructure misconfigurations
- Support cloud modernization and cloud governance initiatives within regulated environments
- Partner with infrastructure automation teams to implement long-term, scalable solutions
- Drive standardization, automation, and cloud engineering best practices
- Mentor engineers and promote strong engineering ownership and accountability
- Support production cloud operations and collaborate with US-based teams
- Improve cloud reliability, operational stability, and platform maturity across the organization
REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise cloud infrastructure environments and GCP
- Experience as a Cloud Architect, Cloud Platform Engineering Lead, or Technical Lead
- Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Knowledge of cloud governance, operational excellence, and secure-by-default cloud practices
- Familiarity with vulnerability and compliance tools such as Qualys or similar platforms
- Expertise in enterprise cloud infrastructure, cloud security, and platform engineering
- Experience with cloud vulnerability remediation and cloud security posture management
- Strong proficiency in troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and operational problem-solving
- Demonstrated accountability, initiative, and execution focus
- Ability to work onsite in the US (New York City, Jersey City, or Pittsburgh)
