ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will contribute to building a secure healthcare communication platform used by millions of users worldwide. You will design and evolve backend services for Messenger, a core product enabling seamless collaboration between healthcare professionals, while working in a cross-functional Agile team focused on security, scalability, and interoperability.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and TypeScript, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
- Own backend solutions end-to-end, improving system quality, security, and delivery speed while supporting critical healthcare workflows
- Collaborate with architects, product owners, and engineers to define system design and deliver high-impact features
- Build and maintain RESTful services, ensuring clear documentation with OpenAPI and alignment with integration standards
- Participate in all SDLC phases, including requirement analysis, estimation, development, testing, deployment, and production support
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, and propose mitigation strategies for stable and secure delivery
- Develop secure solutions with strong authentication, authorization, and data protection practices tailored to healthcare requirements
- Work with Docker-based environments and contribute to integration with healthcare standards such as FHIR
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience with Java and Spring Framework or Spring Boot, plus hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript
- Proven track record of building and integrating RESTful APIs and documenting them using OpenAPI or Swagger
- Solid understanding of backend architecture, design patterns, and secure application development practices
- Experience with JWT authentication, secure token handling, certificate management, and data protection principles
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, JPA, Hibernate, and database migration tools such as Liquibase
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized environments, with Kubernetes as a plus
- Familiarity with SDLC processes, Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and in distributed teams
- An intermediate or higher English level for effective communication
