ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will help build and evolve video collaboration software used every day in conference rooms at some of the world’s largest companies. You’ll work on products developed for a globally recognized manufacturer of computer peripherals and software, whose portfolio spans PC navigation devices, video communication and collaboration tools, audio products, smart home solutions, and more.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex software integration issues like software upgrade issues, merge conflicts, compilation issues and bisect builds for bugs, AOSP image building infrastructure provisioning and support (AWS and on-premises solutions)
- Work with the following tools: JIRA, Jenkins (Jenkins shared libraries), Gerrit, GitHub (GitHub actions), git, google repo tool, AWS (AWS IAM, EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, SNS, RDS), Docker (Docker compose), Java(Gradle or Maven), bash/python/groovy scripting, Monitoring and Metrics gathering (Grafana, Prometheus, Dashboards systems, for example Superset)
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA, and Production teams to provide quality software releases to customers
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience in build integration and release engineering
- Hands-on experience with Android or Linux-based build systems (AOSP (Make, Soong)) or comparable environments in Embedded or Automotive domains
- Solid knowledge of Git, repo, branching strategies, and manifest management
- Practical experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Buildkite
- Proficiency in debugging build failures, resolving integration issues, and analyzing system-level problems
- Confidence working in Linux environments and developing automation scripts using Python and Bash
- A systematic approach to defining and tracking metrics to monitor and improve build system performance
- Experience working with BSPs from vendors such as MediaTek or Qualcomm (nice to have)
- Knowledge of OTA systems and update frameworks (a plus)
- Experience supporting large-scale device deployments and telemetry-driven validation (as a bonus)
- Familiarity with Android system architecture (HAL, framework, services) HAL (optional)
