ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will take ownership of building and evolving backend services that power advanced network visibility and security solutions. You will work within a collaborative Agile team, tackling complex technical challenges for a global technology leader and influencing product quality and reliability. Through close cooperation with experienced engineers, you will continuously grow your expertise while contributing to solutions that protect and simplify modern IT infrastructures
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize development, problem‑solving, triage, and debugging skills to strengthen and enhance a dynamic backend engineering team
- Contribute as a BackEnd Engineer within an established, collaborative Agile Scrum team
- Participate in building security solutions that are simple, understandable, and user‑friendly
- Work with the team to address real‑world challenges and continuously improve the client’s product
- Demonstrate willingness to learn, grow, and make meaningful contributions to team success
- Apply software craftsmanship practices, including testing, continuous integration, build automation, and mentorship
- Support a team‑first approach, swarming on sprint work to achieve shared goals
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of professional software development experience, preferably in building and maintaining distributed data platforms, database‑centric backend services, or storage and analytics systems
- Strong Java backend development skills with working Python proficiency for operational tooling and automation
- Strong experience working with databases, preferably columnar databases or RDBMS solutions such as Vertica
- Confident working with Linux environments, including Bash scripting and systemd service management
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, including virtual machines and Docker
- Experience with C or C++ is considered a plus
- Proficient understanding of networking and security principles
- Experience with AI and ML frameworks or AI‑driven development is considered a strong advantage
