ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will act as a DevOps / Platform Engineer, driving AWS EKS operations and Kubernetes platform excellence across regulated environments, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.
At SoftServe, a global digital solutions company, you will contribute to building secure, enterprise-grade cloud platforms and supporting mission-critical workloads for clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement GitOps practices and enhance infrastructure-as-code automation.
This is a US-based role with an anticipated base salary range of $91,200–$108,000 annually.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and upgrade AWS EKS control and data planes, including add-ons such as EBS/EFS CSI, kube-proxy, and VPC CNI across regulated environments
- Execute monthly AMI updates, OS migrations, and validate deployments using KUTTL testing
- Develop and enhance Terraform modules for EKS infrastructure, IAM configurations, node groups, and cluster setup
- Configure and operate ArgoCD for GitOps-based delivery and manage Jenkins pipelines for cluster bootstrapping
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads, including Karpenter, Grafana Agent/Alloy, and observability pipelines
- Support and manage deployments such as ServiceNow MID Server and Teleport within Kubernetes clusters
- Maintain AWS-auth configurations, IAM policies, and enforce cluster security with tools such as Gatekeeper and Connaisseur
- Drive infrastructure automation and contribute to continuous platform improvements
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant infrastructure operations
- Support on-call activities with minimal operational overhead
- Contribute to cloud cost optimization and efficiency initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS EKS, Terraform, and managed Kubernetes environments
- Experience working with ArgoCD, Jenkins, and Kubernetes operations
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana Agent or Alloy
- Proficiency in scripting using Bash or Shell
- Experience working with Git-based workflows and pull request processes
- Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code and GitOps principles
- Ability to operate in compliance-driven or regulated cloud environments
