About the role
In this role, you will contribute to the development of accessories for conference room cameras, an exciting and fast-growing product area with strong potential across the American and European markets. The solution runs on the latest Android OS, and the team is responsible for integrating Qualcomm, HAL, and Services layers while ensuring backward compatibility with legacy devices and existing features.
Responsibilities
- Work with a challenging and complex tech stack
- Gain experience with AOSP and system-level Android
- Participate in the active development of a product line
- Attend and contribute to Scrum methodology and SDLC enhancement
- Get acquainted with Qualcomm
- Deliver high-end products used by end customers like Google, Microsoft, Marvel, Tesla, etc.
- Extend the product line and be involved in development from scratch
- Collaborate with a team of professionals in partnership with a world-leading company
Requirements
- At least 2+ years of C++ experience (C++14/17), comfortable with smart pointers, RAII, and move semantics
- At least 1+ years of Android platform development (AOSP builds, Android.bp/Android.mk, vendor HAL integration)
- Proficient in native C/C++ development on Android
- Experience with Camera HAL3 interface: stream configuration, capture request/result lifecycle
- Familiarity with Qualcomm CamX/Chi-CDK architecture (nodes, pipelines, use case XML)
- Skilled in debugging with logcat, tombstone/crash dump analysis
- Understanding of Android IPC mechanisms: Binder, AIDL/HIDL, gralloc buffer handling
- Comfortable with concurrency: mutexes, condition variables, atomics, fence/sync FD management
- Writing thread-safe code for latency-sensitive camera paths (preview, capture, video)
- Solid Linux fundamentals, shell scripting, and familiarity with common diagnostic tools
- Fluent in English at the upper-intermediate level
