ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll own the technical side of Quality Engineering across multiple client engagements, including automation frameworks, engineering practices, and reusable accelerators for delivery teams. You’ll also step into projects where the quality setup needs assessment and improvement, helping identify technical issues, define solutions, and build proofs of concept.
Gen AI is a core part of the role. You’ll help define how AI can be practically integrated into Quality Engineering, from AI-assisted test automation to agentic workflows, MCP integrations, and reusable AI infrastructure.
The role has a clear path toward Quality Consulting. You’ll start with strong technical ownership and client-facing responsibilities, gradually taking on more technical discovery, pre-sales, and advisory activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and improve test automation frameworks, Quality Engineering practices, and processes across multiple engagements.
- Build reusable automation solutions and accelerators that can be adopted by different delivery teams.
- Assess existing projects and identify issues such as slow regression cycles, flaky automation, or insufficient test coverage, then define practical improvement approaches.
- Drive practical Gen AI adoption in Quality Engineering, including AI-powered test automation, agentic workflows, skills, subagents, MCP integrations, and workflow improvements.
- Define AI guardrails and human review processes to ensure reliable outputs.
- Build proofs of concept and technical solutions for new and existing client engagements.
- Present technical approaches and solutions to client stakeholders.
- Support Delivery, Project Management, and Sales teams with technical discovery, assessments, solution design, and gradually pre-sales activities.
- Share technical knowledge through mentoring, tech talks, and internal engineering communities.
REQUIREMENTS
- 8+ years of experience in Test Automation / Quality Engineering with strong current hands-on technical expertise.
- Strong experience with at least one of the following: TypeScript, Java, C#, or Python.
- Experience with Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or comparable automation technologies.
- Proven experience designing and building test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Strong API testing experience across web and service-based applications; mobile testing experience is a plus.
- Practical experience using Gen AI tools in engineering work, such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar, including code generation, debugging, and prompt engineering.
- Understanding of LLM limitations and approaches to validating AI-generated outputs.
- Experience improving Quality Engineering practices at a team or organizational level, including standards, processes, and automation adoption.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- English Advanced for direct client communication.
- Experience with AI infrastructure, agent skills, subagents, MCP servers, agentic workflows, pre-sales, technical assessments, or technical discovery would be a strong advantage.
