ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will design and lead the development of software systems for space and terrestrial robotics applications, combining embedded software, high-fidelity simulation, and flight system validation. You will contribute to the architecture, development, and prototyping of production-ready solutions across the full delivery lifecycle.
This is a US-based remote role with an anticipated base salary range of $103,870.00 – $175,780.00 annually.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop software and system architectures for space robotics and autonomous platforms
- Build production-ready solutions and rapid prototypes for space, industrial, and robotics systems
- Develop and validate flight and ground software, ensuring readiness for deployment and launch
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across robotics, embedded, cloud, and research domains to deliver integrated solutions
- Integrate robotics systems across hardware and software layers, including embedded and real-time systems
- Lead verification, validation, and integration of flight software, including HIL/HITL testing scenarios
- Build and validate simulations using Isaac Sim, NVIDIA Omniverse, ANSYS, or MATLAB to support development and testing workflows
- Participate in technical pre-sales activities, including workshops, architecture sessions, and client presentations
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience in architecture and development of application software for flight and ground systems, including direct satellite or spacecraft software development
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for embedded Linux environments, with experience implementing real-time and autonomous systems
- End-to-end experience from requirements definition through space-qualified, launch-ready solutions, including verification, validation, and integration of flight systems
- Understanding of space environment constraints on hardware and software design
- Familiarity with spacecraft communication protocols such as CCSDS, CAN, or SpaceWire
- Experience with simulation tools, including Isaac Sim, NVIDIA Omniverse, ANSYS, or MATLAB, and hands-on HITL testing or low-level hardware interfacing
- Strong analytical skills with solid mathematical foundations and a problem-solving approach
