Lead Robotics Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will define and drive the technical direction of advanced robotics solutions across mobile robots, robotic arms, drones, and multi-robot systems. You will take ownership of the full lifecycle—from research and rapid prototyping to production-grade deployment—while shaping engineering standards and scaling high-performing technical teams. You will act as a key technical authority, collaborating across disciplines, mentoring engineers, and representing the organization in both client-facing and executive-level engagements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and govern system architecture across mobile robots, robotic arms, drones, and multi-robot deployments
  • Establish and maintain engineering standards, including branching strategies, code reviews, testing frameworks, and documentation practices
  • Drive projects from rapid prototyping to production-ready, high-reliability systems
  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across hardware, software, and cloud integration streams
  • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence
  • Conduct technical interviews and shape hiring profiles and evaluation frameworks
  • Own robot–cloud integration strategy, including telemetry, OTA updates, and fleet management
  • Lead applied research initiatives and translate outcomes into the product roadmap
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and frameworks to maintain a competitive edge
  • Represent engineering leadership in client engagements and executive-level discussions
  • Support pre-sales activities through technical presentations, workshops, and proof-of-concept delivery

REQUIREMENTS

  • Advanced knowledge of ROS2 architecture with demonstrated ability to design, deploy, and govern complex multi-node robotic systems in production environments
  • Proven experience integrating and operating diverse robotic platforms, including mobile robots, robotic arms, drones, and multi-robot collaborative systems
  • Deep expertise in one of the directions: SLAM, localization, mapping, path planning, sensor fusion, or robotic arm motion planning using MoveIt
  • Hands-on experience with robotics simulation tools (Isaac Sim, Gazebo) for system validation, testing, and pre-deployment verification
  • Strong understanding of real-time systems, motor control, including familiarity with ARM-based hardware (e.g., STM32), RTOS, and PLC/SCADA integration
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and Python with a production-level focus on performance, reliability, and scalability in robotics contexts
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) tailored to robotics software deployment and lifecycle management
  • Ability to define and enforce robotics-specific engineering standards covering testing, QA processes, code reviews, and operational best practices
