ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the ERCEA engagement as a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, modernizing business-critical applications supporting administrative, financial, scientific, monitoring, access-management, and compliance processes.
You will work across architecture, Angular, Java, Spring Boot, Oracle, APIs, security, and DevOps while providing hands-on technical leadership to development teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and modernize full-stack applications using Angular, Java, Spring Boot, and Oracle
- Define application architecture and develop scalable front-end, backend, database, and integration components
- Build and secure REST/SOAP APIs and implement authentication and authorization
- Develop and maintain Angular applications using the eUI framework
- Apply security, performance, testing, and software engineering best practices
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Support monitoring and observability using Grafana
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and support legacy application modernization
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and software design guidance
- Use AI-assisted engineering for code generation, legacy Java migration, and automated testing
REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years of professional IT/software development experience
- 9+ years of Java development experience
- 8+ years with Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- 10+ years working with SQL databases
- 5+ years developing database-centric applications, including 3+ years with Oracle
- Experience with jOOQ, JPA, and/or Hibernate
- 7+ years of business application architecture and component design experience
- 8+ years with REST APIs/web services and integration
- 4+ years with SOAP web services and interoperability
- 5+ years with Spring Boot or equivalent Java enterprise frameworks
- 6+ years with DevOps/CI practices and CI/CD pipeline design or improvement
- 6+ years with Docker and Kubernetes
- 3+ years with monitoring and observability technologies such as Grafana
- 7+ years providing technical leadership, software design supervision, or developer guidance
- 8+ years producing technical documentation and supporting software maintenance and continuous improvement
- Practical experience with Angular and the eUI framework
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and OpenAPI/Swagger
- Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, and role-based access control
- Understanding of OWASP, Secure SDLC, and secure software development practices
- Hands-on experience using AI for code generation, legacy Java migration, and automated testing
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills
- Very good English at B2 level or higher
- AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Java, Spring, or information security certification will be a plus
- EQF Level 7 university degree (typically Master’s level or five years of higher education) and 10+ years of IT professional experience
