About the role
In this role, you'll build a greenfield Azure landing zone for a regulated financial services client, working hands-on alongside the lead. You'll write the Terraform for network, identity, and governance, and help make the foundation that every other team relies on solid, private, and repeatable. As it lands, you'll help extend it into observability, recovery, and onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable Azure cloud platforms and landing zones
- Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption using Terraform and reusable modules
- Design and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Define platform engineering standards, best practices, and governance
- Lead technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders
- Review code and mentor DevOps engineers within the project team
- Design secure networking, identity, and access management solutions
- Improve platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence
- Collaborate with architects and cross-functional engineering teams
- Support cloud transformation and modernization initiatives
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Cloud, DevOps, or Platform Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise environments
- Proven experience designing cloud platforms and Azure landing zones
- Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices
- Strong experience designing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
- Solid understanding of Azure networking, identity, and security services
- Experience implementing governance and cloud security best practices
- Strong scripting skills using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives
- Comfortable working directly with customers and technical stakeholders
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with AKS and container platform, GitOps, and DevSecOps practices (nice to have)
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and observability platforms (nice to have)
