About the role
We are working on a long-term embedded software development project in the medical technology domain, focused on software for advanced medical devices used in real clinical environments.
The project is entering a multi-year development roadmap and offers the opportunity to work on a mature product while gaining hands-on experience with physical medical devices available in our lab. You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers, QA, and product teams, gradually taking on more ownership as you grow within the project.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software for medical devices used in real clinical environments
- Work with C/C++ and Qt on an established embedded software product
- Develop and improve embedded user interfaces using Qt
- Work with embedded Linux and physical target hardware
- Analyze, debug, and resolve defects in an existing codebase
- Implement well-scoped features and enhancements
- Test and debug software directly on physical devices available in our lab
- Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and product teams
- Follow technical requirements, specifications, and established development practices
- Learn from senior engineers and gradually take on greater technical ownership
- Work in a hybrid model with regular office presence in Wrocław
Requirements
- 3–5 years of commercial experience in C/C++ software development
- Solid programming skills in C and C++
- Experience with Qt for UI development, or strong motivation and ability to deepen your Qt expertise quickly
- Experience with embedded Linux and a good understanding of operating system concepts
- Experience with Wind River Linux, Yocto, or Buildroot (nice to have)
- Ability to analyze, debug, and fix defects in an existing codebase
- Ability to independently implement well-defined features and enhancements
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and unit testing
- Ability to read, understand, and follow technical specifications and requirements
- Experience with requirements management tools such as Polarion or similar (nice to have)
- Interest in working in a regulated and quality-driven development environment
- Experience with medical device software development (nice to have)
- Strong problem-solving skills and openness to feedback and mentoring from senior engineers
- Upper-Intermediate English (B2) or higher
