ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will support the design, implementation, and operation of SoftServe’s Customer Data Governance framework. You will work closely with corporate functions and delivery teams to ensure customer data is managed securely, compliantly, and efficiently, enabling teams to meet regulatory and contractual obligations while minimizing data-related risks
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the implementation and daily operation of the Customer Data Governance framework across corporate and delivery units
- Own monitoring of customer data processing activities to ensure compliance with privacy and security standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA
- Collaborate closely with delivery teams, legal, security, and other stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate customer data-related risks
- Analyze customer contracts to identify data protection, privacy, and security obligations from both customer and SoftServe perspectives
- Cooperate with technical experts to review security and privacy controls and evaluate their coverage against contractual and regulatory requirements
- Maintain and support records of data processing activities, data inventories, and data classification in line with organizational standards
- Participate in internal and external audits, supporting preparations for certifications, assessments, and compliance reviews
- Assist delivery teams with data lifecycle activities, including registering, updating, transferring, archiving, and disposing of data in compliance with requirements
REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of data privacy and security standards, including GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA, and the ability to translate them into actionable data policies
- Experience with contract analysis, including interpretation of standard contract clauses related to data protection and privacy
- Understanding of data sensitivity levels and practical application of data classification within an organization
- Experience documenting and transferring contract assessment and compliance processes to delivery teams
- Familiarity with control management and evaluating how controls address security and contractual requirements
- Experience maintaining records of data processing activities and supporting data inventories
- Results-oriented mindset with strong ownership, attention to detail, and ability to work with a sense of urgency
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural environments
- Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency for daily communication and documentation
