ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a long-term partnership with a UK-based specialist savings and lending bank that develops software solutions supporting credit and lending services. The team works in a highly Agile environment, leveraging DevOps practices, modern technologies, and SAFe Agile principles to deliver reliable and secure products.
In this role, the candidate will contribute to the quality assurance and automation testing efforts within an established project team, helping to improve product quality, expand automation coverage, and support continuous delivery processes. The current assignment is planned for approximately 3 months due to the client's budget cycle, with opportunities for further engagement within the company afterward.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain end-to-end automated tests using Playwright and TypeScript
- Expand automation coverage based on business-critical scenarios and regression testing needs
- Improve and refactor the existing automation framework to enhance stability, maintainability, reporting, and scalability
- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Investigate test failures, identify root causes, and ensure reliable test execution
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and support high-quality releases
- Participate in testing strategy discussions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate directly with project stakeholders and collaborate within an Agile delivery environment
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in Test Automation, including developing automated tests from scratch
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript
- Experience developing and maintaining automated test solutions using TypeScript
- Solid understanding of testing principles, E2E testing practices, debugging, and problem-solving techniques
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
- Practical knowledge of API testing, including retrieving and validating test data through APIs
- Good understanding of Git and branching strategies
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English level with strong communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment and communicate directly with client-side teams
