About the role
In this role you will shape scalable technology solutions across multiple initiatives, guiding architecture decisions from pre-sales and discovery through planning and implementation while advising teams and stakeholders. Working within the Solutions Center of Excellence, you will collaborate with cross‐functional experts to support diverse projects, translating complex business needs into practical, high‐impact architectures.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and solution design for client engagements, defining scalable architectures and solution approaches that align with business goals and technical constraints
- Own the end-to-end solution architecture and technical direction to reduce delivery risk, improve system performance, and accelerate implementation timelines
- Collaborate closely with sales teams, delivery engineers, product stakeholders, and client technical leaders to shape solution proposals and ensure alignment across business and engineering teams
- Support internal pre‐sales activities by analyzing client requirements, preparing technical proposals, defining architectures, and presenting solution approaches to prospective customers
- Design and document scalable architectures using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, applying microservices, API-driven design, and event-based integration patterns
- Establish and oversee the development process by defining engineering standards, selecting technology stacks, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and guiding teams on best practices
- Provide technical consulting to clients, evaluating existing systems and recommending modernization strategies, integration approaches, and performance improvements
- Perform hands-on development when required, building proofs-of-concept, reference implementations, or critical components using modern programming languages, APIs, and cloud-native services
- Guide engineering teams during delivery by conducting architecture reviews, resolving complex technical issues, and ensuring alignment with the defined solution architecture
Requirements
- Extensive experience in software development with 10+ years of hands-on engineering across modern application platforms and architectures
- Advanced experience in software architecture with 5+ years designing scalable, reliable, and maintainable enterprise-grade systems
- Strong knowledge of architecture development processes and standards, including frameworks such as TOGAF or SEI (certification preferred)
- Practical experience with architecture documentation methodologies and standards, such as SEI Views & Beyond, arc42, or similar structured approaches
- Strong proficiency with at least one major technology stack, such as .NET, Java, Python, or Node.js, with deep hands-on development or architecture expertise
- Advanced experience with cloud platforms and cloud-native architecture patterns, with architect-level or hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud provider
- Solid understanding of pre-sales activities and project planning processes, including solution shaping, estimation, and technical proposal support
- Proven experience consulting clients on technical architecture decisions and cross-domain technology topics in complex delivery environments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong structural thinking, diligence, and self-organization skills enabling independent work and responsible technical decision-making
