About the Role
SoftServe is starting a new engagement with a leading global real estate services provider to redesign their key analytics platform. As a Senior SET / Test Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing our test automation strategy, enhancing Playwright with GenAI-powered capabilities, and ensuring the quality and reliability of a cloud-native SaaS platform on AWS.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and test suites for integration, E2E, performance, and load testing
- Extend and enhance Playwright-based solutions with GenAI capabilities, including visual recognition and intelligent element identification
- Define and execute comprehensive test strategies covering functionality, performance, reliability, and security
- Analyze test results, identify defects, perform root-cause analysis, and drive issues to resolution
- Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
- Conduct code reviews and provide recommendations on quality, maintainability, and testability
- Support production systems on AWS and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and infrastructure
- Prepare effort estimates and technical documentation related to testing solutions
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Test Automation Engineering, Software Development in Test (SET), or a similar role
- Strong expertise in Playwright and TypeScript
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks for cloud-based SaaS applications
- Hands-on experience with AWS environments and production support activities
- Familiarity with GenAI tools and APIs for testing automation (OpenAI, Claude Sonnet, or similar)
- Experience with Playwright MCP, agents, or advanced Playwright ecosystem tooling
- Solid understanding of unit, integration, E2E, performance, and load testing practices
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills
- Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams and collaborating directly with stakeholders
- Upper-Intermediate or higher English level with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong commitment to shift-left testing principles and continuous quality improvement practices
