ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will provide technical leadership, ensure delivery continuity, and contribute directly to the successful implementation of key integrations, including UKG and Task Management solutions, while supporting engineering excellence across backend and frontend development. You will join a team during a critical transition period as a Tech Lead / Senior Engineer on a 3-month contract from September through November.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the team’s technical direction, providing day-to-day guidance, resolving blockers, and enabling engineers to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently
- Drive the technical delivery of UKG and Task Management integrations, ensuring reliable implementation and alignment with project objectives
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to support delivery, improve solution quality, and maintain development momentum
- Design, build, and enhance scalable .NET APIs using C#, ensuring maintainability, performance, and security
- Contribute to Next.js and React development, supporting feature implementation and frontend improvements where required
- Review frontend and backend code, establish engineering standards, and promote consistent development practices across the team
- Facilitate technical design discussions, provide architectural guidance, and support decision-making for complex technical initiatives
- Mentor team members, troubleshoot challenging technical issues, and champion high-quality software delivery throughout the engagement
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong commercial experience with .NET and C# backend development
- Hands-on expertise with Next.js and React for modern web application development
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Practical experience working with both AWS and Azure cloud platforms
- Previous experience acting as a Tech Lead or senior technical leader, including technical design ownership and code review responsibilities
- Familiarity with mobile application development and backend integrations for Android and iOS environments is an advantage
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation practices, and DevOps methodologies is desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges effectively
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills, with a commitment to engineering best practices and continuous improvement
