Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator

About the role

In this role, you will take ownership of Salesforce Marketing Cloud environments, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing marketing operations at enterprise scale. As part of SoftServe’s Salesforce Center of Excellence, you will work with global clients and a large expert team to design and optimize data-driven, multi-channel customer journeys.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud environments, ensuring platform performance, security, and availability
  • Design and manage multi-channel customer journeys using Journey Builder and Automation Studio to drive engagement across email, SMS, and push
  • Build and optimize targeted campaigns using AMPscript, dynamic content, and audience segmentation to deliver personalized customer experiences
  • Manage data architecture within Marketing Cloud, including Data Extensions, segmentation, FTP imports, and API-based data feeds
  • Implement and support Marketing Cloud Connect integrations with Salesforce CRM and external platforms to enable unified customer data flows
  • Govern platform security, manage user roles and permissions, and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL)
  • Monitor platform health, troubleshoot deliverability issues, and optimize send times, suppression lists, and bounce management
  • Provide training, documentation, and technical guidance to marketing and business teams to drive platform adoption and best-practice usage

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience administering Salesforce Marketing Cloud in complex, enterprise-scale environments
  • Strong expertise in Marketing Cloud Studios and Builders — Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Mobile Studio
  • Skills in AMPscript, SSJS (Server-Side JavaScript), and SQL for dynamic content personalization, data queries, and automation logic
  • Experience in Marketing Cloud Connect integrations with Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and third-party platforms via REST/SOAP APIs
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator certification, with Marketing Cloud Consultant or Email Specialist certification as a plus
  • Solid knowledge of data management best practices — Data Extensions, Subscriber Lists, Contact Builder, segmentation, and data hygiene
  • Understanding of email deliverability, compliance frameworks (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL), and marketing automation best practices
  • Excellent collaboration skills to bridge marketing, analytics, and engineering teams and translate business needs into platform solutions
