ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Data QC Engineer to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of data solutions across migration, integration, and transformation projects. You will collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to validate data pipelines, test complex transformations, and help deliver trusted, production-ready data products on modern cloud platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform end-to-end data validation for migration, integration, and transformation initiatives, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across systems
  • Execute source-to-target reconciliation activities and validate ETL/ELT processes to confirm data integrity throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated test cases using Python and test management tools such as QMetry or similar platforms
  • Validate data transformations across layered data architectures, including Bronze, Silver, and Gold environments, ensuring business and technical requirements are met
  • Test data pipelines, workflows, and integrations built on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, as well as data environments including Databricks and Snowflake
  • Monitor data quality, investigate anomalies, and assess data health using observability and quality monitoring solutions such as Monte Carlo
  • Identify, document, track, and support resolution of defects and data quality issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions
  • Prepare test documentation, execution reports, and quality metrics while actively participating in Agile ceremonies to support successful project delivery

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on data engineering, ETL/ELT, data integration, or data migration projects
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, data validation techniques, source-to-target reconciliation, and testing large-scale data transformations
  • Practical experience testing data pipelines, cloud-based data platforms, and modern data ecosystems including Databricks and Snowflake
  • Experience developing and executing test automation solutions using Python
  • Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and understanding of layered data architectures including Bronze, Silver, and Gold models
  • Familiarity with QMetry or similar test management tools and experience maintaining test documentation and defect tracking activities
  • Experience validating BI and reporting solutions, including Power BI; familiarity with data quality and observability tools such as Monte Carlo is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate successfully within Agile, cross-functional teams
  • Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English
