ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will help shape an AI-powered contract intelligence platform that enables legal and risk teams to review commercial contracts more efficiently. You'll own end-to-end product features in a multi-tenant SaaS environment, working alongside engineers, ML specialists, and product stakeholders to deliver solutions that improve the contract review experience and drive product evolution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and deliver end-to-end features within a Django-based platform, improving contract review workflows while collaborating with product and engineering teams
- Build and maintain backend services that connect contract-review processes with AI and machine learning components, ensuring reliable and scalable integrations
- Develop secure multi-tenant functionality and role-based access controls to support client data isolation and application security
- Create and enhance user-facing experiences for contract submission, document review, and contract intelligence exploration
- Integrate asynchronous ML workflows, managing job execution, result retrieval, and presentation of annotated contract data
- Implement feature-flag-driven delivery practices to support controlled rollouts, experimentation, and safe feature releases
- Optimize application performance through efficient PostgreSQL query design, database improvements, and transaction management
- Collaborate with software engineers, ML specialists, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders to continuously improve platform capabilities
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience with Python and Django, including models, views, ORM, migrations, and development of production-grade web applications
- Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL, including complex query design, transactional consistency, and performance optimization
- Proven experience building multi-tenant SaaS applications with client data isolation, authorization models, and role-based access control
- Solid frontend development skills using server-rendered applications and UI technologies such as TailwindCSS or DaisyUI
- Practical experience working with feature flags and managing controlled feature rollouts in production environments
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development and effective use of LLM-powered tools in daily engineering activities
- Strong ability to independently drive technical solutions, prioritize work, and make sound engineering decisions
- Effective collaboration and communication skills in distributed teams, including active participation in technical discussions and planning activities
- Experience with HTMX or similar hypermedia-driven frontend technologies (would be an advantage)
