ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will join SoftServe’s Project Management Practice (CoE), a team of senior project managers leading the company’s most strategic, high-value, and complex engagements. You will be responsible for driving delivery excellence across large-scale programs, managing senior client relationships, establishing governance frameworks, and ensuring successful business outcomes from pre-sales through project closure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead large-scale, complex engagements, ensuring scope, timelines, budget, and business objectives remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle
- Take full accountability for Fixed Price, outcome-based, and other high-ownership delivery engagements
- Manage the entire engagement lifecycle, including pre-sales support, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure
- Define and tailor SDLC strategies, delivery methodologies, and governance frameworks based on project context and business needs
- Drive AI-assisted and agentic delivery practices, identifying valuable use cases and ensuring secure adoption across teams
- Establish project performance metrics and continuously improve delivery effectiveness based on data-driven insights
- Own risk management across complex engagements, proactively identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks
- Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, profitability, and margin performance
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and executive sponsors
- Design and manage governance models, communication structures, reporting frameworks, escalation paths, and decision-making processes
- Ensure transparency regarding scope, timelines, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and constraints
- Build scalable project team structures and coordinate multiple delivery models across concurrent engagements
- Define and execute staffing strategies, balancing client needs, team capabilities, and business objectives
- Contribute to account growth by identifying expansion opportunities and supporting business development initiatives
- Participate in business reviews and strategic planning activities with key stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of project management experience across multiple domains, project types, and commercial models
- Proven experience leading Fixed Price or outcome-based engagements with contract values exceeding $2M
- Experience managing complex programs involving multiple teams, delivery streams, and stakeholders
- Track record of leading engagements with 30+ FTE team sizes
- Strong expertise in scope definition, scope baselining, and change management
- Comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Practical experience applying AI-assisted and agentic delivery approaches
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and PowerPoint
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities across projects and domains
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience working with distributed, multicultural teams
- Upper-Intermediate English level or higher
