ABOUT THE ROLE
This role focuses on designing and delivering scalable solutions on the Pega Platform, including case management, workflows, UI, and decisioning. You will translate business requirements into technical designs aligned with Pega guardrails and enterprise standards. The position also involves integrations (REST/SOAP), data modeling, and application security configuration. You will troubleshoot and optimize performance while contributing to DevOps and deployment processes. Additionally, you will own key components and support the team through mentoring and technical guidance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, configure, and support scalable Pega Platform solutions using App Studio and Dev Studio, including case management, workflows, UI components, and decisioning logic
- Translate complex business requirements into technical designs aligned with Pega guardrails and enterprise standards
- Apply architecture best practices such as class hierarchy, rule resolution, and modular design to ensure scalability and reuse
- Implement and manage integrations with external systems using REST and SOAP, along with handling data models, connectors, and authentication profiles
- Configure application security using RBAC and ABAC models and ensure compliance with data protection policies
- Troubleshoot complex issues using Tracer, PDC, and logs while optimizing applications for performance and stability
- Contribute to DevOps activities including CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and deployments using Pega Deployment Manager
- Take ownership of moderately complex components and ensure high-quality, maintainable delivery
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through peer reviews and technical guidance while leading specific workstreams or integration components
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Pega Platform development within Agile environments
- Experience with case management, workflow design, and UI configuration using Pega Constellation or Cosmos
- Proficiency in building integrations using REST, SOAP, and JSON
- Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) certification
- Strong technical foundation in Java and object-oriented programming, with solid SQL knowledge
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field
- Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency in spoken and written communication
