About the Role
As a Mechanical Robotics Engineer, you will design and develop advanced robotic systems for real-world applications. You will lead the mechanical design of robotic platforms and support the entire product lifecycle—from concept development and prototyping to testing, validation, and deployment—while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical solutions for robotic systems, including mobile robots and robotic manipulators
- Create detailed 3D models, technical documentation, and manufacturing drawings
- Develop and validate prototypes as well as production-ready robotic solutions
- Perform simulations, analyses, testing, and optimization to ensure performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Select and integrate mechanical, sensing, and motion-control components into robotic platforms
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and industry standards
- Research emerging robotics technologies, materials, and mechanical design approaches
- Support technical pre-sales activities, workshops, client presentations, and product development initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience designing and developing complex robotics or mechatronic systems
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, GD&T, and FEA methodologies
- Knowledge of design-for-manufacturing principles, including DFM, DFA, DFT, and DFS
- Experience with fabrication and manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, rapid prototyping, and injection molding
- Understanding of robotics principles, kinematics, control systems, and factors affecting robot design, including thermal management, vibration, EMI, sensor integration, and maintainability
- Familiarity with machinery safety and compliance standards such as OSHA, CE, ANSI, ISO, and IEC, combined with strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills and professional English proficiency
- Experience with industrial robot programming, embedded development, electrical or PCB design, or PLC/SCADA systems (Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, UR, STM32, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Beckhoff) (nice to have)
