Senior Financial Reporting Specialist

About the role

In this role you will take ownership of corporate financial and regulatory reporting within SoftServe’s Corporate Reporting Department. You will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting across international markets, strengthening transparency and enabling informed decisions. Your work will help improve reporting processes in a dynamic global environment, directly impacting business performance and stakeholder trust.

Responsibilities

• Execute accounting processes and post journal entries to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions
• Own financial documentation, controls, and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate month-end closing activities with international stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate completion of reporting deliverables
• Prepare financial, statutory, tax, and management reports, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and alignment with business and regulatory needs
• Perform reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and support the integrity of financial data and reporting
• Coordinate tax and audit-related activities, collaborating with external advisors, consultants, and regulatory stakeholders as required
• Monitor regulatory and accounting developments, ensuring timely implementation of relevant changes within assigned processes
• Drive process improvement, automation, and cross-functional initiatives to enhance efficiency, controls, reporting quality, and operational effectiveness

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, or related finance functions
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, and local GAAP requirements across EU and EMEA jurisdictions
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management, or a related field
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure reporting accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail, compliance mindset, and ability to maintain high-quality financial records and reporting
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to collaborate with international teams, external partners, auditors, and advisors
• Upper-Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency; experience with international markets (EMEA/APAC) and professional certifications (e.g., DipIFR, ACCA) are considered an advantage
