ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will help modernize and evolve BloodTrack, a mission-critical transfusion management platform used in healthcare environments worldwide. You will join a Scrum team responsible for enhancing a complex C++ solution, reducing technical debt, and delivering new capabilities that improve patient safety, traceability, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain core platform components using modern C++
- Contribute to the modernization of legacy application components and architecture
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions and integrations using AWS
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical design sessions, and code reviews
- Investigate and resolve complex application, infrastructure, and performance-related issues
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and resource utilization across on-premises and cloud environments
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, QA engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality software
- Support root cause analysis and implementation of long-term corrective actions
- Contribute to technical roadmap planning, modernization initiatives, and engineering best practices
- Mentor other engineers and promote knowledge sharing across the development team
Requirements
- 5+ years of commercial experience in C++ software development
- Strong knowledge of modern C++, object-oriented programming, and software design principles
- Experience developing and maintaining large-scale enterprise or distributed systems
- Hands-on experience with AWS services (such as EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda, RDS, or similar)
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Experience designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with build and deployment automation
- Strong understanding of software architecture, system integration, and performance optimization
- Experience investigating application bottlenecks and implementing performance improvements
- Experience working with legacy systems and modernization initiatives
- Experience working with relational databases such as MS SQL Server
- Familiarity with source control systems (Git) and Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Upper-Intermediate English level or higher
