ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will take ownership of the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of business-critical production platforms. You will join a team responsible for supporting and evolving complex cloud-native environments, driving long-term improvements across infrastructure, observability, and service resilience. Beyond operational support, you will influence platform strategy, lead reliability initiatives, and help establish engineering practices that enable stable and efficient system growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement reliability, scalability, and resilience improvements across Kubernetes-based production platforms to support business growth and operational stability
- Lead incident response activities, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions that prevent recurring production issues and improve service availability
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and operations teams to define platform standards, optimize deployment approaches, and improve system reliability
- Manage, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes environments, ensuring performance, availability, capacity management, and operational consistency
- Architect, maintain, and enhance RabbitMQ deployments, including clustering, fault tolerance, performance tuning, and messaging reliability
- Optimize PostgreSQL environments through performance tuning, high availability configuration, backup strategies, recovery planning, and capacity management
- Define observability standards by implementing monitoring, alerting, logging, and operational dashboards that improve system visibility and incident response
- Automate operational processes using scripting and engineering solutions, mentor team members on Site Reliability Engineering practices, and contribute to 24/7 production monitoring and on-call support
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Operations with 4+ years of supporting and improving production environments
- Advanced expertise with Kubernetes administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and operational support in large-scale production systems
- Deep knowledge of RabbitMQ, including clustering, high availability, performance tuning, capacity planning, and issue resolution
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL administration, database performance optimization, backup and recovery strategies, and high availability solutions
- Advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting skills across operating systems, services, infrastructure components, and production workloads
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, distributed systems concepts, service reliability principles, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and load balancing
- Advanced experience designing and implementing observability solutions, including monitoring, alerting, logging, and platform health management
- Proven experience driving automation initiatives through Bash, Python, or similar scripting technologies and leading incident management and post-incident improvement activities
- Fluent English skills with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams, participate in technical discussions, and communicate operational decisions effectively
