Robotics Solutions Architect

About the role

In this role, you will architect and deliver software systems for robotic platforms – from robotic arms and autonomous vehicles to drones and connected devices – for clients building complex, real-time, intelligent systems. You will shape technical strategy from early requirements through delivery, engage clients at the executive level, and drive innovation across hardware and software integration.

This is a US-based remote role with an anticipated base salary range of $160,000.00 – $250,000.00 annually, plus variable compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients, Product Owners, and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and transform business requirements into scalable solution architectures and implementation strategies
  • Design and document end-to-end solution architectures, covering infrastructure, security, integrations, scalability, and operational requirements aligned with enterprise standards
  • Lead architecture-focused engagements, including Discovery, Assessment, and Solution Definition phases, driving stakeholder alignment and delivery outcomes
  • Provide architectural governance throughout the implementation lifecycle, ensuring adherence to approved designs, technical standards, and business objectives
  • Conduct architecture reviews, identify technical and operational risks, and define effective mitigation strategies
  • Establish and promote engineering and architecture best practices, frameworks, and governance processes across projects and programs
  • Mentor architects and engineering teams, supporting capability development, knowledge sharing, and adoption of architectural best practices
  • Drive large-scale transformation initiatives, aligning enterprise strategy with solution delivery and secure customer data management

Requirements

  • Strong expertise in architecture principles and design patterns for robotic and embedded systems
  • Proven experience designing scalable, secure, high-performance architectures for real-time, hardware-integrated solutions
  • Deep understanding of security-by-design principles and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with cloud, edge, and hybrid environments, including infrastructure for connected devices
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and interoperable technology ecosystem design
  • Proficiency in assessing system performance, scalability, and resilience, and defining optimization strategies
  • Strong documentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proven leadership and stakeholder management in large-scale transformation programs
  • Experience in the space industry (satellites, spacecraft, or space-qualified systems) is a plus

This is a leadership role where you will drive impact in two main directions:

  • Leading People

Hire and onboard talent, build trust and inclusion, set clear priorities, coach growth, deliver results, and lead change aligned to our values.

  • Leading Business

Deliver client value through business understanding, market and financial insight, global collaboration, and continuous improvement.
