IF YOU ARE
- Bringing 2+ years of experience in network performance testing, SD‐WAN testing, or network device validation
- Coming from a networking background (Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar) with hands‐on testing or validation experience
- Strong in data‐plane and device‐level performance testing, not application or UI performance testing
- Experienced with traffic throughput, packets‐per‐second, concurrent flows, session scale, and stress testing
- Proficient in network traffic generation tools such as IXIA (IxNetwork), Spirent, TRex, or Ostinato
- Solid in networking fundamentals, including: TCP/IP and traffic behavior under load (TCP vs UDP); L2/L3 fundamentals, BGP, OSPF, static routing; VPN technologies (IPsec, GRE); NAT, firewall concepts, QoS, DSCP, MTU, fragmentation
- Comfortable working in Linux environments, using networking and system tools such as: tcpdump, Wireshark; ip, tc, iptables; netstat, ss etc.
- Skilled in packet‐level analysis for debugging performance and connectivity issues
- Capable in Python for test automation, result analysis, and tooling integration
- Versed in Bash / shell scripting for traffic execution, environment setup, and log analysis
- Adept in debugging, root‐cause analysis, and technical communication
- Collaborative with distributed engineering teams and communicating fluently in English
- Knowledgeable of SD‐WAN architectures and platforms (as an advantage)
- Exposed to hardware vs software networking platforms (would be a plus)
- Acquainted with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) – nice to have
AND YOU WANT TO
- Design and execute network and performance, stress, and scalability test plans
- Validate throughput, concurrent flow handling, session scale, and device limits
- Perform packet‐level analysis to investigate performance degradation and packet loss
- Identify bottlenecks across CPU, memory and network interfaces
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot complex test environments
- Analyze results, document findings, raise defects, and track issues to resolution
- Continuously improve network performance testing methodologies and automation
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers, track and report issues following established workflows, and contribute to process improvements
- Work with modern industry technologies and tools, and have a slight schedule shift to align with EU and US time zones for team meetings
