Job Profile Summary
The Enterprise Solution Architect - Power & Utilities designs, develops, and implements cutting-edge technology solutions leveraging NVIDIA's hardware and software ecosystem, cloud-native and hybrid architectures to transform the Power & Utilities sector spanning generation, transmission, distribution, and grid modernization.
Working in close partnership with the Industry Solution Leader, this role translates complex grid and energy challenges into scalable, high-performance architectural solutions. The ideal candidate brings expertise across the NVIDIA stack, major cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and a strong working knowledge of operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT), and the broader digital grid ecosystem.
Duties & Responsibilities
Solution Design and Architecture
- Architect and deliver end-to-end enterprise solutions tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities in the Power & Utilities sector, including generation optimization, transmission and distribution automation, grid modernization, and energy transition use cases
- Leverage the full spectrum of NVIDIA's technologies to develop scalable, high-performance solutions in close collaboration with Big Data, AI/ML, Digital Twins and Simulation, Robotics, Edge Computing/IoT, and XR specialists
- Architect solutions that integrate operational technology (OT) systems with cloud-based AI services from major hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP), addressing scalability, security, real-time performance, and regulatory compliance
- Create and maintain architectural artifacts, including solution design documents, reference architectures, integration diagrams, and executive-ready presentations
- Define solution roadmaps that account for short-term pilot delivery and long-term enterprise scalability across the value chain
- Incorporate relevant open source frameworks, simulation environments, and specialized engineering tools (e.g., real-time power system simulation, geospatial asset intelligence platforms) into solution blueprints where appropriate
Client Engagement and Advisory
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to utility clients, providing expert guidance on AI/ML architecture, digital twin strategies, edge computing, and NVIDIA-powered infrastructure relevant to grid modernization
- Identify and articulate clients' technical requirements, integration constraints, data infrastructure maturity, and OT/IT convergence challenges
- Lead architectural deep-dives and technical workshops with senior client stakeholders — translating complex system concepts (e.g., physics-informed AI for grid simulation, hardware-accelerated load forecasting) into business-relevant terms
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client architects, operations leaders, and technology decision-makers
- Serve as a subject matter expert for hardware-accelerated computing, digital twins and simulation, robotics and automation, generative and agentic AI, edge AI/ML within power and utilities environments
Collaboration and Delivery
- Collaborate with sales and business development teams to develop compelling technical strategies for complex energy solutions
- Participate in pre-sales activities, including RFPs/RFIs, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-concept scoping
- Design and deliver proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions and guide full-scale implementations, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability within utility operational environments
- Work closely with delivery teams to provide architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle — from design through commissioning and operations
- Coordinate with other architects, engineers, and domain specialists to ensure solution alignment across AI, simulation, IT/OT integration, and cloud infrastructure layers
- Mentor and coach solution and technical architects within the broader SoftServe technology organization on energy-specific patterns and NVIDIA platform capabilities
Technology Leadership and Innovation
- Stay ahead of emerging technology trends in AI for energy, grid-edge computing, physics-based digital twins, and autonomous grid operations — and propose innovative NVIDIA-powered solutions to address them
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve solution effectiveness across the value chain
- Drive innovation by identifying opportunities where NVIDIA's accelerated computing stack delivers competitive differentiation
- Contribute to the development of reusable solution patterns, reference architectures, and industry-specific accelerators to scale delivery across SoftServe's energy practice
Preferred Competencies & Experience
- 10+ years in IT/OT architecture with a focus on enterprise solution architecture, ideally within energy, utilities, or industrial sectors
- Deep knowledge of P&U industry dynamics: grid operations and planning, asset management, reliability engineering, DER integration, load forecasting, and energy transition
- Proven track record delivering complex enterprise solutions using AI/ML, digital twins, simulation, robotics, and computer vision in power grid or industrial environments
- Broad knowledge of the NVIDIA ecosystem and hands-on experience with NVIDIA hardware and software frameworks
- Working knowledge of utility OT/IT systems: EMS, SCADA, ADMS, OMS, DERMS, and GIS platforms, and relevant IEC interoperability standards
- Expertise in enterprise cloud architecture, cloud-native applications, containers (Kubernetes, Docker), and hybrid OT/cloud deployments on Azure, AWS, and/or GCP
- Experience with data architecture, real-time data pipelines, MLOps, and AgentOps in operational energy environments
- Expertise in security, identity management, compliance, and governance in hybrid IT/OT environments
- Strong communication skills across both technical and executive audiences; experience in pre-sales, proposal development, and RFP responses
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with NVIDIA and software frameworks is highly valued
- Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) with specific emphasis on architectures suited to utility-scale data volumes, real-time telemetry, and OT integration
- Proficiency in microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, and domain-driven design with an understanding of how these apply in hybrid OT/IT environments
- Familiarity with industry-standard grid simulation, power systems analysis, and engineering toolchains, both open-source and commercially established, and how they integrate with NVIDIA-accelerated compute environments
- Expertise in security, identity management, compliance, and governance in hybrid IT/OT environments
Supervisory Responsibilities
- No direct reports. Provides technical mentorship and architectural guidance to SoftServe architects and technical leads engaged on Power & Utilities projects
Qualifications
