ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will build and enhance mobile features using React Native, solve engineering challenges, and collaborate closely with the client to shape reliable solutions. You will contribute to development processes, influence technical decisions, and keep delivery smooth through strong communication. Our Client is a pioneering UK financial institution founded in 1952, providing retail banking products including accounts, savings, and personal loans.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain secure and high-performance Banking Retail App features using React Native
- Drive application performance, reliability, and quality improvements by implementing testing, optimization practices, and supporting CI/CD and release processes
- Collaborate closely with team members to deliver high-quality mobile solutions and ensure alignment on implementation and delivery
- Integrate mobile applications with backend services and APIs, ensuring secure data handling and compliance with banking standards
- Contribute to technical architecture decisions and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and engineering best practices
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong proficiency with React Native and mobile application development for building robust cross-platform solutions
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript and TypeScript in modern mobile and front-end development environments
- Practical knowledge of cross-platform mobile development challenges and effective solution design in React Native ecosystems
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies and modern software development best practices
- Hands-on experience delivering software solutions within the financial services or fintech domain (as a plus)
- Strong communication and technical consultancy skills when collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Upper-Intermediate English level
