ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will contribute to the design, modernization, and reliability of Node.js backend services used in distributed environments. You will focus on improving system stability, security, and scalability while helping evolve existing solutions through refactoring and platform upgrades. You will collaborate in a cross-functional team to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain Node.js and TypeScript backend services, ensuring performance, scalability, and clean architecture
- Own service improvements, driving modernization, refactoring, and upgrades to enhance stability and long-term maintainability
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product stakeholders to align technical decisions with business goals
- Troubleshoot complex production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement reliable fixes to strengthen system resilience
- Improve and maintain APIs and backend integrations within distributed systems and web-tier environments
- Work with cloud-native services and third-party integrations to support scalable and flexible architectures
- Contribute to observability and operational excellence using logs, metrics, and monitoring tools
- Prepare technical documentation, design strategies, and implementation plans for feature delivery and platform enhancements
REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Node.js development in fast-paced environments
- Strong knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, asynchronous programming, data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis
- Practical experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs in distributed systems
- Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills with experience in production issue resolution and root cause analysis
- Experience with unit and integration testing for backend services
- Familiarity with cross-functional collaboration in product-driven environments
- Proficiency in balancing delivery speed with code quality and maintainability
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
- Upper-Intermediate or higher level of English
