ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will support and evolve a large-scale global network infrastructure across multiple datacenters. Working with complex network environments, you will help drive operational excellence through troubleshooting, performance optimization, and network scalability initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage network infrastructure while applying deep knowledge of Layer 2 (switching) and Layer 3 (routing) protocols
- Troubleshoot network systems and performance issues
- Analyze packet captures and use protocol analysis tools to investigate and resolve application response time problems
- Handle complex technical network operations and connectivity issues escalated to the network team
- Take on challenges like scaling the network and adding new features to support diverse applications and services demanded by our customers
- Explore and contribute to network automation opportunities that improve operational efficiency and simplify day-to-day network management
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience in network engineering, supporting large distributed infrastructure environments with enterprise-grade networking hardware
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, IPSec, SNMP, static and dynamic routing, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking concepts such as LAG (LACP)
- Experience with Layer 1 troubleshooting, including optical power levels and SFP specifications, as well as Layer 2 technologies such as STP, trunks, and VLANs
- Hands-on experience with Layer 3 routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF, as well as network monitoring and management platforms and IP SLA
- Familiarity with security solutions, including ACLs
- Strong practical experience with Unix-based operating systems
- Upper-intermediate English level with effective communication skills to collaborate in a multicultural environment
