ABOUT THE ROLE
Іn this role, you will help build and evolve a core healthcare system supporting blood and plasma collection, distribution, and safety. You will join a newly formed team delivering enterprise Java solutions with real impact on patient care, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders in a collaborative and quality-driven environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take ownership of backend components and improvements, driving system performance, data consistency, and long-term maintainability
- Collaborate with engineers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality features and seamless integrations across modules and external systems
- Work within a multi-module Maven architecture, contributing to structured and maintainable codebases
- Manage database changes using Oracle and Flyway, ensuring versioning, migration accuracy, and data integrity
- Integrate services using REST, JMS, and Oracle AQ to enable efficient communication across distributed systems
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito, applying TDD practices when relevant
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and quality checks with SonarQube to maintain high engineering standards
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong experience with Java 17, Spring 5.3.x, JSP, and Servlets in enterprise development environments
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and tools such as AWS, Docker, and REST APIs
- Solid knowledge of Oracle Database, Hibernate, JPA, Flyway, and caching approaches like Ehcache
- Experience with integration technologies including REST, JMS, Hessian, and Oracle AQ
- Familiarity with build and DevOps tools such as Maven, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in testing frameworks including JUnit and Mockito, with understanding of TDD practices
- Experience working with job schedulers such as Quartz in enterprise applications
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to take ownership of tasks
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate in a distributed team environment
